Export Okta's System Log

Okta includes a robust System Log and also many reports you can run to collect and analyze, and also export, data.

Permission requirements for accessing Okta system logs

To access Okta system logs, you need to be one of the following:

  • A Super Admin
  • A Org Admin
  • An App Admin
  • A Report Admin

  • Click on the From and To date fields to select which dates you want to logs to be exported from * Please enter a date that is 30 days back from the day you are pulling your logs

    Note: Log data older than 3 months is not accessible in the System Log (see the Okta Data Retention Policy).

  • Click on the Download CSV link in the Events table. These are the files that will be shared with Oort.
